On photobucket (sign up you can get a free acct.) you can upload your pic, then after it uploads you can hit the EDIT button directly above your pic and resize the photo for a message board. After you resize it use the LAST line of text the image tag. It will start with [IMG]. Copy and paste it into the body of the post.

Or just put image tags around the url of another photo you want to link to, that's what photobucket does. They are just convenient because they host your pics for you.
