Tegus are hardy, easy and very intelligent. They make great reptilian pets...they walk around your house like they own it and will not move out of the way for you...they stand their ground. But they love to bask near the door in the warmer months....they know their names....and love their food

I second what nicole said....meego is the same way (also an agama int. baby) just wanders around the house, LOVES the kid's bedrooms, and loves his food. He is definitly on a mission while running loose in the house, and will not move out of anyone's way!!! But at the same time, he is sweet tempered enough that he sleeps under my pillow every night. Definitly the best pet decision I have ever made

WOW!! meego is beautiful..... He looks .......well...........perfect.... In fact, he looks as good as my tegu........wait a min....... HE LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE MY TEGU!!!!!! :P

Hi everybodies, I'm Meego's very lucky daddy.... Tis' I that prods and pokes him in the front yard until he finally decides to fertilize the lawn after several thwarted attempts at blatant unabashed laziness................

Leyla had to really convince me to get Meego, an I thought that he'd be hard to handle, and I would do 99% of the handling. Fortunately I was wrong. He has been an absolute Joy. I am amazed everyday by his unexpected intelligence, and obvious willingness to please us..... He is agreat pet, and not the untouchable exhibit I thought he'd be.... I have only my ignorance to blame, shame on me (tongue firmly planted in cheeck)....

I am also proud of my wife. She did tons of research before she decided to get meego, and was patient and waited for the right animal from the right breeder. She has really taken to caring for him, and has amassed a plethora of unending tegu knowledge... way to go bebe....la2

Have good everything, or die trying with a smile...............

They are more then likely brothers or cousins so it's understandable.......

Sorry bout crowding on on Nico's section, I was unaware, besides it wa really late and I was tired (all other useless excuses have been ommitted for your safety)....
Yeah thats cool that Nico and meego are kin...
As far as the monitor goes, I am undecided. I am leaning toward a rhino mostly due to your posts really. Whatever I choose, it will be after we move. we are still stuck in this awfully small place. It may not be to small for most families, but our family isn't as small as most.....
Leyla has been looking for homes literally everywhere, from Montana to South Florida, who knows where we'll land....

I will stay on meego's side of the fence form now on unless I have adircet Nico comment question or compliment
