Adopting Another Tegu
hey everyone, I've just had someone call me very upset. About 6 months ago she sold her adult tegu to someone because she was pregnant and had no time to take care of it. The people have now given it back because it's health was decreasing and they didn't know what to do. She now has the new baby so she has no time to nurse the teg back to health. Apparently it's not too bad but has some serious shedding issues, it still has been eating properly. The tegu is approx 3.5 feet, 4 years old, male. A bit cranky at feeding time, I told her I would give it my best shot and if things don't work out I can at least keep it in my big enclosure till she finds a better home for it.
this was kind of a spontaneous decission but that's what I'm here for, to help these amazing animals 
I'll update when I know more... |

they are amazing animals, both species are! Tegus & Monitors are deffinately my favorite reptile....

I want one or two as well. Not just cause they are awesome also because if you have a lot of snakes they come in handy. Ever wonder what to do with that mouse or rat left over cause 1 or 2 snakes didn't want to eat? Tegu's are the answer haha

haha true that's also why I own a savannah monitor.... they will eat anything and everything no matter how full, my sav is never satisfied! |
