Home needed for Argentine Black & White Tegu

I have a true Argentine Black & White Tegu that was giving to me about a year ago. He/She was in pretty bad shape with sheds and eating. Now he is strong healthy and just like a puppy dog minus a toe or two. I'm a snake guy and just took him in to help and the last thing I'm going to do is give him back. If anyone is local in the SF bay area he is free to a good home but it is just him, no cage. If anyone is interested pm me and we will set something up. here is a pic, Thanks.

That's a great thing your doing! I hope he finds a good home. I posted an ad on KS adoptions classifieds, I found someone to adopt when I was fostering a Ball Python.

Also, I think that there's an adoptions forum somewhere on here...perhaps this should be moved to that so people could find it easier?

I think its a great thing you're doing as well. And that you got him looking and acting more healthier (from what it sounds like). I do live in the SF Bay Area, yet i do not have room nor the knowledge for keeping a Tegu, good luck, and I hope you find it a good home, and don't just let it go to the first person (which i assume you'd know better ).

I understand about posting here first. Most everyone on here is more experienced, knowledgeable, and would give him a much more loving home than just anyone. Yes, You do get alot of emails from people who only want him for breeding, and not as a pet, but you also get serious inquiries: and even people who are willing to drive hundreds of miles (like for the BP) just to pick up the animal. Demand that it is picked up locally, do not offer shipping unless you really feel comfortable with that. That Tegu looks HUGE, and shipping would be crazy expensive, and also put stress on the animal. You have every right to ship if you feel comfortable but if you really want to find him a good home that person will come and get him, trust me.

No need to worry, he will not be shipped at all. He is big around 3' with tail. Pic to see his size, I would be willing to give up the cage I have him in I would just need a boa cage in return.

He's ADORABLE!!! I know that sounds silly, but he just looks so cute to me!!^^

I'm sure he'll find a good home, and hopefully someone can get the cage he's in and give you another cage, or maybe buy the cage from you, in return.
