Holy cow. That Day 3 pic looks like she is on death's door. Good that she's fattening up.

Re: Columbian B&W Tegu Rescue
wow. thats all i can say. youre doing awesome! shows what some love and attention can do plus, shes absolutly adorable. as far as lettuce goes, if its iceburg it has 0 nutritional value and ive heard it gives the reptile runny stool. maybe some fresh spinach or something? im not too up and up on lizards that eat vegetables. my colombian wont touch anything that once grew in the ground haha. if you want to feed her eggs to fatten her up, give it to her boiled as not to add any oil from the pan, and raw eggs can lead to a biotin deficiency. be prepared for smelly poo though...
if you have any questions, feel free to ask me

Looks like Kevin in on top of things, and I could not agree more. It needs to be checked for internal parasites, this might be the biggest problem this animal has. Colombian tegus are often imported and have a real good chance of having them. I would bet a float would show pinworms; it really needs to have testing done.
As for feeding, Colombian tegus do not eat lettuce, or any plant matter, or fruit. They are meat eaters, and will also eat eggs if given the chance. I would feed pinkies at least three times a week; they will help build him up fast. As for the turkey, we use raw ground turkey; this is found in the frozen food section of your market. Dog food is not good at all, and I do not recommend feeding it. It might even do more harm than good.
Good luck with the little guy, keep us posted.

Re: Columbian B&W Tegu Rescue
as far as i know, there are no major breeders of colombian tegus in the states. i asked bert langerwerf about this about a year ago, he doesnt know of any, and he said the reason is because they are so cheap to import that its not very profitable.
