I turned on the light and he went to bask, he went to the bathroom and already rearranged his cage..(knocked everything over)..lol
Should I shut the light off to encourage him to go back and hibernate? I know ppl who dont hibernate them..I want to do what ever is best for him to keep him healthy.

He is so sweet ..he lets me hold him w/ no problem, and see that nicely arranged cage I had before I got him? He has totally destroyed it..moved every piece of driftwood..dug holes everywhere..its funny..he doesnt want to go to the cool side where I made it nice and thick for him to bury in..twice I put him there, only to find him back to the hot side. hes so cute.

do the day cycle on a timer as if he's up and he will hibernate anyway..but sometimes periodically they come out and bask..believe me you won't interrupt his hibernation with the temps or the light...they are on their own biological clock , especially the ones out of agama.

how big is he? how old is he? when/if i get a tegu(gotta convince mom) thats the size i would probably get.im gonna have to lie to her and say they get about 2.5-3 ft. and when he gets bigger than that id say i got the giant one of the cluch

my mom didnt do that when i was working on convincing her to let me get a beardie. this is a real stupid question but a yearling means what? how old exactly(months)is he? and what is his total legnth(nose to tail tip)
