Casper The Red Tegu
Casper is the brat of the tegu/snake room. He has full run of the room, and gets into everything he shouldn't. If he's not climbing all over the place he dives down into the bags of shaving and stays there. We use the shavings for the rats and mice we keep for their off spring to feed to the ball pythons in that room.
This is what I mean about him.
We call him the Brat and this is why.
He climbs up on the shelving and almost knocks the snakes off.
You would think with his bulk he couldn't climb. But no one ever told that to Casper.
Wait until you see this next one.
That's Casper's sauna. We came in one day and Michellle spotted him in the bag she mistakenly left in the room. She ran over quickly to save him but he didn't want to get out. So she left him because he was going through a difficult shed and earlier that day she gave him a soak and didn't want to upset him anymore than he was.
Wouldn't you know after being all day in that bag he came out on his own with sheets of old skin hanging on him. We took all the old skin off, even his feet and he never looked better.

from snout to tip of tail he's about 3-4' long, depending on which end you hold first or can get ahold of first.
He's got a leash and harness, so he'll be going out this summer. He's about a year old and still growing.

we never had casper sexed but was told when we purchsed casper was male. i have questioned the sex as well because the jowls are not real pronounced.so casper has aboy name when casper could be a girl.talk about a complex huh.
