Looking to get a tegu
I have been doing a bit of research on the B&W's and was wondering if I could build a full sized enclosure for a hatchling, Imma looking to buils something 8'x4'x4' top load for hatchling and when it is time to use it as a tegu house (Planning on allowing full free roam and planning on tegu proffing the home) Throw the enclosure on its side and just build from thoes dimensions. Does anyone think I should go with the full sized enclosure to start with, or go off and build as he/she grows?. Any input would be helpful

Thanks Nicole, just wanted to make sure of it before I started getting plans ready, I would like to take up this nice bit of space I have here, What do you think of this. I build it at the dimensions previously stated. But Include a seperator peice to keep it smaller but have it so i can extend without any issues? I can see how this method can be very cost effective. I do not have any plans to get another reptile. But then again I thought that before . Well whats the feedback on that.

sounds great--I did something similar in my old house...I started out with one cage and added to it until I got the CBD cage---then when I moved I just let them roam. They grow VERY fast...you just won't believe it

I got the larger one (which is next to it) from a vet supply company and the one you see was purchased a couple of years ago from herpsupplies.com
I don't even remember the cost---if you look on the site under Kane's Heat mat...all the sizes and prices are there.
The large one is the largest one they sell--I don't even remember where I got the second one....I also got the reostats ....
