new tegu owner!
hi i am new to RTB and i just bought a tegu from a local pet store the guy at the pet shop told me it was a golden tegu but from the pictures i've seen it looks alot like a colombian i was wondering how to tell which it is and how to tell how old it is and how often and long do they hibernate and when. any help would be appreciated thanks

hey go to agamainternational.com--look under the TEGU section for some great photographic differences between columbians and argentines. It's about size, a slight color difference and scalation.
It's very hard to tell age after 2 years. First find out the species (any photo would help me help you) and then we can discuss hibernation and care.
I have 2 argentines purchased from Bert Langerwerf. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask
