Which is these companies makes a better hygrometer? I have both and I think my Zoo-Med works and my T-Rex doesn't, but I was just wondering if anyone has any sort of input into this.

I've found my T-Rex Hygrometers work just dandy. Having said that, I've never measured it with anything else :\ so maybe they don't work at all! Still, all our snakes are healthy, and some of them require mega humidity (Borneo Bloods). Currently at 80% and doing fine!

Big Apple has a nice combination digital temp/humidity gauge for $25. Can't go wrong with that.

I find the little dial ones wear out, and get inaccurate after a while. I use them for getting a general idea of humidity, as an early warning... but I use a digital one for accurate readings. They aren't too pricey, Radio Shack sells several different models.

That all depends on how humid you keep it!
The cheaper one use a bi-metallic strip coil and it will rust and get inaccurate quickly.

I have the one from radio shack. It's digital Thermo and Hygro. It also can be put on a channel and sent to a master unit. I'm gonna get another that way I can just put the master on the night stand. No trips all the way into the herp room just to check temp...
