Help 40 gal breeder or 55 gallon with lid

anyone know someone selling one of these or if you are selling one for a relatively low price near woodridge let me know. been searching craigslist and other spots but people are asking for more than what a new one costs. any help would be appreciated.

ill tell u what i was told, lol get a tub.. my 40 breeder is a beast to lift/move and i have almost nothing in it and a small amount of substrate

I'd try searching Craig's Lists other than your own city, if you've not already. I've found what I was looking for for half the price half an hour away versus right down the street.

yeah the tubs are cool. im not knocking it, i just dont want one lol. i wont be moving it around so stationary is fine with me.

craigslist man i have been seeing some of the most crazy prices. i guess people think that they are worth the price of new one still.

Oh, believe me, I know.

I'll never buy a used-aquarium again.

The last one I bought was a 75 used for salt water turtles and a salt water catfish. The floor is so scratched you can hardly see through it, and if you look closely, you can see scratches on the sides as well from the turtles' claws.

There were calcium deposits everywhere and it took me four hours to clean having it stand upright in my bath tub.

I paid $60.00 and I'll tell you what... For what I had to go through to get it clean, I'd have gone with one for $150 brand new. Never again.

called a guy from craiglist yesterday.... swung by his place when i got off work. ended up getting TWO 55 gallons for half the price of one new. and these are in excellent condition with custom lids/custom wood. just when i had given up on craigslist
