For Mader's book I would suggest you contact Larry at http://www.mdreptilefarm.com/
or perhaps http://www.zoobooksales.com/

John

Hey Shy....

I went to their site and the guarantee appears to be a good one....only thing that bothers me is getting a vet to state exactly HOW whatever is contracted. My experience is they are hesitant to do so for there are so many factors and variables. That might possibly provide an escape for the seller. Not to mention how tough it is to get a vet to put anything in writing in a 7 day window. What if the animal becomes sick on the 5th or 6th day after arrival? I'd call and talk to them about some of the possibilities.

I am close to this store so I am going to make a point of visiting some day soon. They may be great folks and all be fine....just try to get them to clarify some of the possible scenarios.
There is a place in town near me that I know has problems with mites and just doesn't give a darn.....they would have to clear out all wood cages and sand and refinish them and use pretreated substrate and apparently that is just too much trouble to bother with.

You might also ask them what measures they take to prevent mites and so on...ask for a list of referrals too....all they can do is say no.

Good luck.

I can't help with the book, but for the dealer/breeders, go to the BOI and do a search or ask about them.
