Re: Shipping boas
I have never shipped but when i received my 2 Suri's from 2 different breeder's. They were both in a snake bag with newspapper around the snake to it did roll around and my male had a heat pack in with him because it was pretty chilly here..

Re: Shipping boas
some of mine were shipped in a little tied off bag with a bunch of crinkled up newspaper and a heat pack, and others were in a little plastic container, like a deli cup or a small tupperware containter with ventilation holes punched in, again, surrounded by wrinkly newspaper for cushioning, and with a heat pack

Re: Shipping boas
We ship in insulated boxes. We put the animal in a snake bag if it is to big for a deli cup. Plenty of newspaper or packing paper helps hold them in place when moving on the conveyer belts. Only ship Monday Tuesday and Wednesday. This way if there are any delays you have that one extra day for them to arrive safe before the weekend.

Re: Shipping boas
I use insulated shipping boxes, bags, cups, and or heating packs from Superior Enterprise/. Crumpled newspaper to keep them from jostling around. Don't use shredded, it just annoys the customer.
Here's a good post: How to ship live reptiles

Re: Shipping boas
I've gotten many shipments of snakes before which include ball pythons and boas from a few different breeders, I just can't make up my mind what I want to pack in under and around the boa. I've seen shredded newspaper which was a nightmare for me with 4 bp's throughout that got everywhere. I've seen crumpled newspaper, and someone used the material they stuff stuffed animals with which I really liked a lot.

Re: Shipping boas
Use Packing Peanuts. Not only does it cushion the best, you'll also get more insulating power.

Re: Shipping boas
When I have had boas shipped to me they had packing peanuts and it was in a deli cup with holes.
I am sure whatever way you send a boa as long as you insulate it will be fine.
