Live? Well, as I hope you already know, anyone here will tell you not to live rodents to a snake. Other than the possibility of transmitting parasites to your snake, a pinkie or fuzzy rat would be harmless to them. But, anything larger will pose a threat, potentially fatal, to your snake. According to the prey item, I'm assuming you have a young snake, most likely a boa. The younger you get a snake switched to pre-killed prey, the better. I'm guessing maybe 95% of captive snakes will eat pre-killed. Your snake may not switch right away, but with some patience, they will eventually switch. Anyway, stepping off my soap box. You can either find another pet store that will have baby rats (Pittsburgh is a large city, and most likely has more than one pet store), get a pair and breed your own, or order them frozen from a rodent breeder such as
RodentPro.com,
CajunMice.com, among several other companies. It may seem expensive to order online, but do the math, and you'll see that buying from pet stores is far more expensive.
