Shipping?
Could anyone give me some good info on how to ship reptiles? I have never done it before so I would like to know how. Like, I dont even know if your supposed to just put it in a box or if you need to put it in a snake bag and then in a box or something.

I actually only ship with Delta and it is better to have live animal on it with them. They usually keep them inside after unloading here but I am sure that some places don't but I have been using Delta for puppies and snakes for years with no problems. I wouldn't trust Fedex, UPS or DHL for reptiles due to the fact that all of them have lost my overnight packages and were no help at all trying to find them. Yes they all arrived but one was a week late thank god they were not live reptiles. One thing I think some people don't seem to use as much is Delta Priorty First. I have shipped several snakes from here in Virginia to California fully insured for $5k-$6k and still cost me under $60 dollars total. Its alot easier to become Delta certified than people think.
(I don't put airholes in the box or styrofoam but I don't tape the box more than needed. The holes could keep the temps from staying stable.)
