After a conversation I had with Julius. I decided to go for it and make a hook myself.
I used a dowel that felt comfortable and 3/8in x 36in aluminum rod. This thing is leightweight and rugged. I cut a 6in peiece off of the dowel, found the center and drilled a hole about 3-4in deep and a bit smaller than a 3/8in drill bit. I used a grinder to grind down the end and also to taper the handle end a bit. I then drill a 3/8in hole almost an inch into the previous hole. I then put the rod in and banged the #$%^&#$%^&#$%^&#$%^& out of the handle. I then set it on the ground and gave the handle a few more hits just for good measure. I tried turning the rod while holding the handle and it won't at all. I bent the rod at work on one of the display vises.
I'm probably going to make a bunch of them in different sizes and hook shapes.

I got a weird question for everyone.
If we got Julius and a few others to help make these bad boys do you think they would sell?
I can setup this to sell them on Fauna's store...or setup my own.
How much would people be willing to pay? Espically if the hooks were interchangable.
The reason why I am asking is because we plan to sell a few things online in the future like t-shirts, stickers, and a few other things. All the money would go to the makers of the hooks and to redtailboa.net
