Most clowns would be considered down the road, if not immediately by the lion fish. Most people stick with just a few small, non-agressive fish in a reef tank. I think there's good logic behind that.

I got a 180 predrilled last year that I still haven't set up. My townhouse doesn't have enough structural support for it and I haven't exactly been eager to fix that. Over the next month I'll be moving in with my girlfriend and we'll have a finished basement for ALL the critters and tanks... So I'll finally be getting to set mine up too.

I considered salt - but I think I'd rather have a really nice South American tank. Salt is way too much of a PITA as I recall my marine expierience.

Good luck with yours.

Gargoyle12 is on a distinguished road
you are going to want to go with a skimmer and refugium setup.

I would recommend the ASM skimmers. You can check them out at ASM Skimmer products, information and services

As for flow you will need to decide what type of corals (sps, lps, softies)you are going to want to put in there. From there you will be able to decide how much flow you are going to need in the tank.

For the flow of the Refugium you are going to want 3 - 5 times the size of the refugium.

I imagine you'll want a wet/dry. You should consider one of the really large (5-gallon) canister filters from Eheim. I'm not saying it's better than a wet/dry, but it is an alternative.

Nevermind...it's pre-drilled. Sorry.
