http://www.aquariumfish.com/aquarium...d=3790&search= www.aquariumfish.com has some excellent information on sharks. The first link is directly for sharks in a tank. You can go back to the homepage for more links.
Hope that helps.

If you're new to sharks I'd stick with small ones in my opinion.... before you go and buy a multiple thousand dollar shark that gets 6ft or more..... not to mention you'd need at least a 6000 gallon tank for a 6ft shark.

I thought that it could get pricy building/purchasing a really great looking enclosure for a huge snake. Next time I think of how pricy it gets to get it just right (I mean with decor and making the outside look all fancy so it doesn't look like a plain wooden box sitting in my livingroom LOL) I will just think of how much it would cost to provide a 6ft shark with enough room and filters and all that stuff. And I couldn't even imagine WHERE i would put it!
Good luck finding one you want and having room for the tank.

Re: Sharks
i always work with shark supply
but you must have a legit setup i had a whitetip in my 3000 gallon tank but i had to donate it to a public aquarium at about 4 feet because it just didnt have enough room how big are you planning on going...tank wise and filtration wise????

Re: Sharks
i cant imagine house a 6ft plus foot shark, IMO it seems crazy to keep them cramped up where they really cant swim like they can in the ocean. maybe the like not being able to hit top speeds and hunt and all that they can do in the ocean, but who knows. even a huge pool would be barely sufficient for a 6ft shark.
