I am happy to say that my rescue boa has finally eaten on its own. I am soooooo happy . I had given him jumpstart a few times along with Baytril from the vet and now finally he eats. Let me tell you he was a hungry lil devil too. LOOK OUT!! I hope he continues to eat and gets some weight on his skinny hide. When should I try again though?~Dawn~

Good to hear the boa is making some headway!
Since he is taking food on his own, go ahead and put him on a regular schedule.
Feed every 7 - 10 days, and every few feedings offer a second, smaller food item.
This should get him up to weight fairly well.

Thats great.. Sounds like you have him on the road to recovery. Like Eddie said. go with every 7 to 10 days with the feeding. Dont go too big here at first. Smaller items will be easier on his system.
Keep up the good work..............
