I was basically told that the Niger was an import and that imports die.
And just to where I live with the baby savannahs that don't want to eat.
I just don't understand how fish and wildlife can let a petstore like the one I got these guys from stay open.
I litterally felt like I was going to vomit on the way home.
The Niger had feces stuck all on him (as you can see), including his face.

That does suck big time!!! Uros usually do have internal parasites, but nothing that can't normally be taken care of. There has to be something done about having pet stores that keep animals in that kind of condition. I think those are the first laws that should be passed instead of trying to bann herps from good people. If you need a home for the Uro, I think I know of a good one. I never buy from these pet stores. I just don't leave without the people giving them to me. It helps when they are clients at my work (vet).
Any ways, a little update on the Uro. I did a fecal sample and he showed to have some type of strongyloid. None of the Dr.s had seen one like this. Go figure! Watch it be some kind of funky strain since he is wc.
I tell you what. Trying to give him some oral strongid was a fun job. He clamped his mouth so tight.
Ok....now I'll stop rambling.

Well....bad news.
I lost the Uro and one of the Savannahs today.
The Uro wasn't picking up at all and was noticeably doing worse. So I euthanized him.
The little Savannah went into seizures and wouldn't break from the seizures. So I euthanized him too.
I just couldn't watch these two die like they were.
They just went to sleep in my arms.
