"course running into a lot of MR lately with the boas coming in here. This one is a bit skittish right now. Swings it's head around any time i touch it on the side that the eye is clouded up on. The eye did have a "pus pocket" over it according to my husband when he picked it up. YET, when he got home with it, was gone. The eye is a bit clouded over still. Will be looking at it closer later to see if retained shed or what is going on there. Can't really see the eye clouded in this pis, but this is the side that has it....

These are the other two pics that show the MR......

Not sure of sex at all yet, not matter atm either. This one is in the 4-5' range.

Poor snake!
Question though.......
What is causing the discoloration and deformation of the scales on the nose of that snake?
Is that part of the mouth rot?
The 6' female BCI that I adopted a month ago has a similar problem on her nose.
She also had some missing scales around the edges of her mouth but her nose is disfigured from some type of injury in the past so I attributed the discolored and deformed scales to that injury. I first thought mouth rot when I saw the edges of her mouth but I have not seen any swelling, she can close her mouth, and the vet that I took her to a couple of weeks ago said her mouth looked clear.

Lori, you definately have your work cut out for you. What is this one's story? My boss has been out of town (family emerg.) so I will find out about the Baytril when he gets back.
Good luck!!!!
