my girlfriend and i were on our way to a new reptile store in town and we come across this huge soft shell turtle so i did what anybody else would have done.i had her slam on the brakes and i jump out of the car to stop trafic.i go over and grab him(he must have been about 6 or 7 lbs.)the hole time iam bringing him back to the car he is snaping at me(if he could have got a finger i would only have 9 now lol.)so we get him in the car and take him with us.he is biting my shoe the hole way there.he was mean.well i ended up taking him back home with me and released him in the pond behind our house(hoping he will help with the duck population) he should be happy there.there are plenty of other turtles in the pond.well i guess we will see how he does.

ha.. you know ya cant do anything good for something wild and it be nice. They'll try their best to get ya every chance they get.

lori i think he wanted to pat my fingers.lol.soft selfs are some ugly turtles when they get big.his head was almost as big as a soda can.
