HELP needed in NH
Alright, everyone I really need your help on this.
Around my house there is this homeless person, who owns what I belive to be a BCI (the coloration is almost as dull as a hogg island, but pattern is that of a bci) its supposed to be 4 years old, and only about 4' long if that. Its kept in a duffel bag, and has a sock for a hide. no heat, no water (unless its getting water from the nearby marsh.) and no food. She will not give this snake up, unless she gets 100.00 for it, which is more than I have. Anyone in the area maybe able to help? I'd buy it, if I had the 100.00 extra dollars to spend but unfortunately I am broke.

Unfortunaly this person got them self in a pickle,or has issues.have you tried to explain that this animal need special care and to not just live in a duffle bag?I meen winter is on its way dude.It is a give or take that the animal will not servive. What i could suggest to you is to get a hold of your local animal police or ask an officer to take this matter into his oun hands,i do beleive there is a law for animal cruelity.

To talk to the animal police? It'd be hard convincing my girlfriends little brother to get me all of the information on her, but I can try.
either that or say the f*ck with the law and take matters into my own hands, she won't be able to take me to court as she has no phone or mail box to call the police or atternys or anything else, and if she does, she'd only be screwing herself over as its animal abuse :-/ right?

as long as u dont abuse her, then yea. but first, call the animal police, if they dont do anything about it, i would just take it in a non violent way.

Whoa. Be careful. I learned in psycology that it is very very common for homeless people to suffer from szcitzophrenia- oohh bad spelling- anyways, they usually tend to be paranoid, and they can get violent to the point of being very dangerous. Especially when dealing with something sensitive like taking a possession. Most of them do not have the money to afford meds, or refuse the free stuff. You need to check her out before you try to take it from her, even in a non-violent way, cause she might not see it as non-violent. Signs of the disorder are walking on the edges of shoes, all off balance and not realizing it. Clothes hanging where they shouldn't, and tolerance to pain. They have a higher tolerance to most sensory things, thats why they don't realize they are off-balance walking uncomfortably on the edges of their shoes, or that their clothes are hanging, or that they smell awful most of the time. Just be careful. If you see any signs of this have the police deal with it definatly.
I say what I said respectfully. This is what we learned. My aunt has this disorder. It is very common in general.

but yeah, if I do take matters into my own hands, it won't just be me being there either, and don't worry it won't be in a violent way, unless she turns it that way, than I will allow my friends to stick up for me.
Even if I do call the SPCA, they won't do sh..... because its not a mammal.

It depends. Meds make a big difference. Some people have this disorder more severely than others. My aunt walks around cursing at thin air, and she has meds. But homeless people don't have access to the resources others do most of the time. And also, there is a home inmy town for people with mental disorders. They walk around the area and up to local stores and panhandle when they can get away. I havn't seen any lately so they might have got more strict. But anyways, most had those signs I mentioned. I didn't believe it till I spotted it myself.

To tell you the truth I am terrified I, or one of my children, might end up with it. Cause it is passed through genetics. My mom was a twin, and its her sister thats ill with it. I could have twins... And most people don't have a psycotic break until they are around 21-27. We got to go talk to people that were recovering at a center. One guy said he just snapped one day out of nowhere, and he thought the KKK was coming to get him. So in his moment of break, he actually thought to burn down the local fire department, before burning down the peoples house who he felt threatened by. This is what I mean...
He was a really nice guy, a great guy. Had us almost rolling on the floor the whole time he told us his story- even in the serious parts. Most of the time the break comes on at a particularly stressful time in a persons life. And believe me, I am a stressed person with all the things I do at once some times.

I am going to this weekend, and talk to her by strictly saying.
"You got two options 1. let me have the snake, and you can see it once a week, or 2. let it die where you will never see it again, the choice is up to you."

Take her a bottle of wine and make the offer but by no means take it from her that would be theft and you could be jailed. homless have rights also.

Well negative renforcement onley brings negative out comes. You dont have to be mean to her,or threaten in any way.(Even though I do realise that it is in sake of the animal.)unfortunally,i have been doing some research on this matter, and as much as it sucks, there really is not to much you can do.Except get a hold of your local authorities and just ask them if there is anything that they can do to resolve this matter. If you happen to take matters into your oun hands, well you will be the one getting into trouble and not her.Unfortunally along time ago i came to the conclusion that you can not save every animal. All across the united states this is probally happening what you see,and it is a very hard thing to swallow knowing what may end up with this reptile.but sometimes you just need to let it go and move on.not trying to be negative myself, just stateing the truth.
