I don't have anyone on my lists for that area at all . What exactly is it your looking for though ? I may be able to help you out if I knew exactly what it is your looking for. I also am still working on my site's page that lists out this info too. Most rescues will also work with shipping most of the time, all depends on the animal and what it's issues are/have been though [ size of it also can make a difference too btw].

i was just wondering due to the fact that i have seen several reptiles either turned loose or left in houses ie apartments. and the animal control people either destroy the animal or give it back to the people once they are located. i have a personal relationship with the local pet store and he is just as disgusted with what is going on as iam. so i wanted to know someone whom he or i could contact in regards to these lost and lonely children. and as far as neglected and or abused reptiles also. most people dont have any options so they just either kill them or drop them off. that is unless the local pet store owner decides to buy them and he can only due that if he can turn around and sell them. he is a good person but does not have the funds to care for them when they are in bad shape.

I don't know of any in that area..
But here's a few questions.

How much experience do you have with reptiles and health issues?
Do you have a good reptile vet near you that will help out with the rescues in the way of treatment costs?
Do you have a desire to get calls at all hours, spend many more hours onj treating and caring for such?
Do you have a desire to spend lots of money for the satisfaction of helping the problem with a resolution?

If you would like to do rescue, then learn all you can about the more common species in rescues, such as iggys, burms turts and torts etc.
Check into your state regs on rehab and rehabbers permits and applicable wildlife regulations on indigenous and exotic species etc.
Set up, if possible,
with a vet thats willing, make room at home for a variety of different sized animals and put the word out with the local pet stores and the local animal control, so that you can help out.

Think it over well before jumping into it.
Talk it over with ALL your family members at home, just in case there are a few species they won't like or are scared of.

And if you choose this mission, good luck!
This post will self destruct in 30 seconds....
