These two came in here the other day. You can clearly see in this pic just how underweight they are...

They got like this as the person who had them thought that they are a carnivorous ss when in fact they are actually herbivorous and get the brunt of their hydration from the greens they eat. Their most precedent problems are the underweight and dehydration thing they have going for them. They are both actually very curious lil critters and easily handled too. They are a desert type ss also, so the hydration thing becomes a conflict with their husbandry in the area of heat/humidity needs also. We've already got them eating for us at this point now.

Ah, chuckwallas have always been a personal favorite of mine...very cute.

Lori, I don't even know if it would be possible...but if it is...try getting these guys some prickly pears....they LOVE them! Should help to put on weight as well. Good luck, and have fun!

Man, they look bad. But as long as they'll eat are friendly and get rehydrated soon, they'll be alright. Glad ot hear they have good old fashion Curiousity. Hee Hee.
I'll try and find out, about the Prickly Pears.
O and for the drinks, my sister just had one last night..LOL Not her fav. tho.

O and I think Jake the Snake is alot worse than those guys. Hes got all that stuff going on with him. Hes a snake they dont do as well as lizards when they are dehydrated and stuff, they stop eating..PERIOD usually. My Female ball that layed eggs this season, (eggs that didnt make it) was dehydrated. Had to get her hydrated and she still wouldnt eat for like 2 weeks after that. But she slowly gained back on Mice, then to small rats.
