That's a cute tort. It does look like a Russian to me, but for some reason, the appearance of the head seems different than the Russians I've seen before. Maybe it's a Greek tort, or an ugly Russian. [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif[/img]

Russian torts have four claws and a long tail. Their other commmon name is four toed tortoise, so it can help a bit. A greek should have spurs, as i recall, and the russsians don't.

A pair of claws on each side of the cloaca which assist in mating. A spur is much more defined on a male

YUP..It's not a russian tort..I found them lil ole spurs on the hind quarters [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_eek.gif[/img] It's got the 4 claws, tail..hmmm..gonna have to check out the length a bit closer I think. I sent the pics off to someone who has been working with chelonians for awhile and they should be getting back to me shortly. ..BUT ffrom what i told em on the phone..had just discovered them spurs... they believe it is a GREEK tort. I'll know more later on it.
