Denver Reptile Expo (pics to follow)
This was a very small show with only a few vendors. The highlight was Dr. Kevin Fitzgerald's speech. He is not only an exotic animal vet, but I've heard he does a show on Animal Planet and is also a comedian (?). I planned my whole day around being there for his speech. Naturally, I was out to lunch while he was speaking and missed the whole thing, along with the autographed picture! The other highlight was a giant super tiger retic and an albino retic that left us all speechless. There were also babies for sale there. If anyone wants one, I can hook you up.
There was only one RTB, a large Colombian who let me hold her for an hour or so until she had to go home (pics did not come out well). The only other red tail was a red-tailed hawk (!) and his sidekick, a great horned owl who are both used for education.
Finally, before I left, I picked up some frozen rats to take home (this is good): The guy told me they would be okay for 25 minutes in my hot car (100 degrees) with no A/C. So of course on the way home, there was a traffic accident and cars were backed up for a mile or so on the freeway. I threw a small temper tantrum in my car, sitting there with 6 thawing rats. But we managed to make it home okay.
Pics are not quite ready yet, so I will post them in a few minutes on this thread.

Re: Denver Reptile Expo (pics to follow)
It's too bad the dumeril boa shot is fuzzy. That boa was stunning. The head was pink, and he had pink and peach throughout his body. So beautiful, almost good enough to eat!
