I'm a few days late but....
I met the FWC investigator that picked the burm up on Friday while he was dropping off a confiscated retic at my local shop. Nice guy, he said that the poor burm was pretty skinny but even tempered even after everything it went through. It was good to meet the guy since he's going to be the one inspecting me for my permits.

Thankfully the FWC officer isn't jaded about snakes. It seems like the politicians are, though. Animal Control and FWC can often put things into perspective when you've got politicians ready to stick their legs out on issues they don't even know about handling properly.

He was a good guy, pretty jumpy around that retic he brought in but hey that's understandable, she was being hissy. I have his card around here somewhere, can't remember his name off the top of my head but he gets a thumbs up from me just for hanging out with all of us for a while and answering some permit questions.

i am proud to say that the guy who made the video on youtube that was bashing snakes has changed his mind. he has made 2 videos since, one was before the max kissing me video and he admits he may have been wrong.
