Re: Komodo Dragons Preying on Villagers
This is sad and I wonder what will happen, but I guess that as usual, in the end the animals will lose. I hope a common solution can be found. Humans have "dominion" over other animals, and differences with other humans to the detriment of the animals...a familiar story.
I saw the program on TV with the boy that was attacked and killed.

Re: Komodo Dragons Preying on Villagers
It's only a matter of time before the big predators figure out we'd be a healthy food source.... y'know, if it wasn't for the fact we retaliate with brutal force and all..
it is sad.. the animal's going to suffer for it in the end, of course.. all because they're playing on instincts and humans are arrogant enough to think everything should recognise us as the top of the food chain.

Re: Komodo Dragons Preying on Villagers
Interesting read, if you go into the sea you take a risk of getting bitten/eaten by a shark; doesnt this apply to this situation as well?

Re: Komodo Dragons Preying on Villagers
I thought it was an interestng dichotomy. For years the villagers have lived in equilibrium by doing the exact opposite of what is typically advised concerning feeding wild carnivores, and now that they're not, problems arise.
Or does that just prove they shouldn't have been doing it all along?

Re: Komodo Dragons Preying on Villagers
this is irritating. the locals have found a way to detour the dragons from eating people and live in harmony, but once again people who know little or nothing have to come in and mess with it...
