Re: Stolen Boa, need help.
I am still just so incredibly sorry for your loss.
I have been quiet for the most part all day today... just nothing to say, and I even sat in the middle of my herp room for at least an hour or more with tears in my eyes and anger in my heart, watching all of my babies. People are just stupid, stupid animals and I still just cannot even bear to grasp what your girl went through, it just fries my mind even thinking about it. The person(s) that did this were probably druggies out to snatch anything they could to make money off of... unfortunately they were ignorant about the value of albino boas in this case... and i'm betting those spanish-speaking guys you and the cop were trying to question saw what happened and just weren't going to speak up about it. God.
I've always been paranoid about anyone I don't know seeing my place and where I keep my animals, despite having a big dog around... I didn't even take my albino girl, Catori to the snake presentation I did last fall because I didn't want anything happening to her, especially... well, I was still scared about anything happening to any of my babies I had brought with me.
I'm still getting choked up about this, again, I am so incredibly sorry, you have my deepest, sincerest condolences... *Huge hug*

Re: Stolen Boa, need help.
Man....this is sad.
After reading this and seeing that picture, my face is bright red and hot. I haven't felt this much anger in a long time.
There is a list of things that some people can do or are willing to do that I can't even wrap my mind around...I guess I should be glad I can't understand such things.
That must have really sucked to have seen that....my heart goes out to you.

The reward is now $500 for any info leading to me to the sorry SOB that done this.
I hope you understand me not wanting to get all detailed. Turns out the number they called from was a pay phone, so no tracing that out.
I'm gonna go turn on some Soulfly and just be angry for a while.

Re: Stolen Boa, need help.
Rick, like a few others I stumbled across this story. This is a terrible tragedy. I can't believe that this happened. I am at a loss for words. I think we all are. My condolences for your loss. Good luck in your search for this sob that did this. I hope you find him/her and give them what they have coming to them.
I dont know how I would react if this happened to me, but let me say this...
I would gladly spend a weekend in the clink if this happened to me and I found out who it was.
Just make sure you dont end up doing years.
Again, I'm so sorry for your loss. This is just horrible.

Re: Stolen Boa, need help.
Rick, I've only read up to post 36. I just got around to this thread tonight and I am at a loss. This is going to be redundant but I am so incredibly sorry, socked and ashamed. Which I am sure means nothing because I cannot imagine what you must be going through.
.
Maybe see if the police can dust for prints on your vehicle? If that hasn't been done already.
.
My thoughts are with you. Such a tragedy. I hope and pray justice is served. Again, I am very sorry.

Smart man. As mad as I am, and as much as I'd love to be turned loose on the fool(s) who done this, I am still trying to hang on to some rational thought. I have 60 more critters here that need me to care for them, and that will have to be my focus for a while.
I ain't giving up on Aurora's case by any means, I just can't afford to put all my energy into that one aspect of my life, or it will consume any control I have established for myself, and bring down other things I have going on.
I'll be OK. Rick is a survivor, and can't be kept down for long. Appreciate all the kind words too. Means a bunch to me.
Thanks again!
Rick

That SUCKS! I will refrain from comment as this site would surely not tolerate what I would have to say. I hope everything works out for you on this.

Re: Stolen Boa, need help.
Hopefully you won't make such a careless mistake again. If you were only going to be two minutes, then cracking the window just enough so someone couldn't get their arm in should have been sufficient. Better yet, drive through one of the million places that offer coffee if you needed it that much.
I don't know about anyone else, but I wouldn't leave my "child" alone in a car with the window wide open.

Re: Stolen Boa, need help.
Wow, given how much pain Rick must be in right now, I REALLY don't think that was necessary. I'm sure he feels bad enough.

yeah.. I'm thinking that was a pretty rude comment.
I really hope that you find her, Rick. I can't imagine how rough this is for you.

For all the pain and trouble the guy has gone through that was all you could say?
If I were your "child" I'd hope you'd leave me in a car for a day or 2 with the windows up in the middle of summer so I wouldn't have to deal with having you for a parent anymore.
To the OP, I just Stumbled Upon this thread and I can't tell you how much my heart dropped when I found out that the result was not you finding your pet. My condolences to you.
PS- I wish the forum I usually post on had this avatar.
