Re: Have any of you heard about Turtle Casino
I hate the idea of casinos. Now they're up here in Maine and all they do is sit there and look ugly, growing addictions, ruining traffic and the skyline. I'm sorry but in the entire world, there's really no other way to grow financially as a group? Don't get me started on the other stories I've heard about the losses from gambling.

Re: Have any of you heard about Turtle Casino
That guy's comments succeeded in ticking me right off. I'd love to put my boot right through that cocky look on his face. Ignorance like that is exactly the reason the animals are endangered in the first place!

Re: Have any of you heard about Turtle Casino
aside from the nature. i hate the ideas of casinos period. we have a very large casino here in montreal. they even have an office in the building where you can morgtage your home. not long ago they had councilling offices for the people that lost bigtime. i guess that was due to the fact that some people were blowing their brains out in the parking lot.

Re: Have any of you heard about Turtle Casino
I live in Vegas the casino Capital! We have a whole lot of animals out here and we have casinos being built in the middle of the desert pushing off the wild horse and endangered dester turtle.

Re: Have any of you heard about Turtle Casino
Whether it's a casino being built or not, we will build and build with complete disregard of nature until there's no where else to build. Sad fact, but true.
I don't really have a problem with casinos. People know exactly what they're doing as soon as they step foot in the door.
As for addiction, like alcohol and criminality, it's partially genetic and partially environment. Some people are predisposed to it, however it is ultimately their choice to feed it. One good thing about a gambling addiction is that it doesn't physically intoxicate your brain, you're consciously making the choice to gamble and can just as easily make the choice to get help.
