Snake in mouth?
Portland, Ore. (AP) — If you're trying to impress a girl, don't try sticking a rattlesnake in your mouth.
Snake collector Matt Wilkinson of Portland, Oregon, admits alcohol and a "mixture of stupid stuff" were involved in the stunt that almost cost him his life. Wilkinson says he had already downed a six-pack and was trying to show his ex-girlfriend that she shouldn't be afraid of his “nice” snake. He put the 20-inch rattler in his mouth and it bit his tongue.
Trauma doctors at the Oregon Health and Science University saved his life, by putting a breathing through a hole in his neck. Officials have taken away his snakes. And Wilkinson admits he is a victim of his own “stupidity.”
