-- An Ocala woman is recovering from a snake bite. The woman -- who has not been identified -- was reportedly bitten by a rattlesnake at a Lowe's store and taken to the hospital. She was given anti-venom and is listed in stable condition.
Officials say she was moving plants around in the garden center at the home improvement store when she was bitten in the leg twice. An emergency medical spokesman says the rattlesnake is an aggressive pit viper and its bite is rarely fatal, but it could be extremely painful. Employees killed it with a yard tool and later looked for other possible snakes but found nothing.
