Snake Slithers Into Car, Causing Chaos and Confusion

Snake Slithers Into Car, Causing Chaos and Confusion
Source: KTBS-Shreveport

You could call this the local sequel of the movie "Snakes on a Plane." It was "Snake in a Car." No A-list actors, though. Just one snake and three "rattled" women. A snake crawled inside Partica Murray's Monte Carlo. The reptile slithered out when she stopped at the Wal-Mart on Mansfield Road.

Murray tried to flush the snake out by tossing oil at it, but it only retreated into the car's engine. The Shreveport Fire Department tried to flush the snake out. Caddo Animal Control tried pepper spray and that didn't work. Even mothballs were tossed on the engine. Finally, a good samaritan thought he would use a technique told to him by a friend.

He took some sulphur and put a circle around a pan, lit and and tried to smoke the snake out of hiding. All he did was set the trunk on fire. After waiting for several hours, Murray couldn't wait any longer. She hopped in the car and drove off, snake and all. As for her daughter and daughter-in-law, they followed behind in another car.

Hmmmm why not call animal control... OR properly train cops to deal with animal issues. Here in FL most cops learn from various rescues, and have the rescue phone #'s in their possession to give them a call if there was something they could not handle.
