YARMOUTH, Mass. -- Police arrest three girls gone wild after finding a pilfered Burmese python at their place of residence as well as other stolen goods.
Lori Marhefka, 42, and her two daughters have been charged in connection with three, recent break-ins at Yarmouth's Flax Pond Recreation Area.
In addition to the one-eyed, six-foot long albino Burmese python snake, police also confiscated at the Marhefka residence a tank containing various marine species, archery gear, art supplies, assorted cases of candy, computer equipment and a cash register.
The animals had been removed from a habitat site, also containing snakes, spiders, gerbils and birds, which the recreation area had created for children's viewing pleasure.
Overall, police allegedly discovered on Saturday over $10,000 worth of pilfered town property within Marhefka's home at 12 Idlewood Dr.
All three women were to be arraigned at Barnstable District Court on Monday.

Well you aren't anyone in Mass. until you steal lobsters by putting them down your pants! The only way one guy got caught was because the rubber bands broke, creating a rather embarassingly painful situation that he had to disclose in order to get help. Loraina Bobbet couldn't hold a candle to a crusher claw!
