I personally think it is a hoax planted for a lawsuit, I cant see a corn surviveing in a silo then going through the processes and the packageing while also being flown overseas surviveing in an airtight bag, going through the rigors of transport, with the box being on a shelf and actually still be alive when the child opens the box. I know that corns are commonly kept as pets all over the world but the odds of local packageing would be greatly lowered

As far as native populations, yes. But, think about it. Most of us have boas and pythons. Are they native in the US? (besides rubber and rosy boas) Do non-native species sometimes turn up in places here that they shouldn't?

I had a corn that escaped once...
He lived without food and water for about 2 months till we found him..
He is still alive and healthy...
He was very thirsty when I first found him and drank for 15 min...
I dont know how much air they use, but when they hibernate im sure its less,,
