This is taken right out of Reptiles Mag January 2005 edition, I don't think this is against forum rules but if it is just let me know
"An Ohio woman was fatally bitten by her pet urutu pit viper (Bothrops alternatus) last September. Alexandria Hall, 54, managed to drive herself to a hospital, though she died five days later.
Reptilekeepers from Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens helped police remove Hall's animals from her home, where they found 10 venomous snakes and other herps. Venomous snakes included a canebrake rattlesnake (Crotalus horridus atricaudatus), a Gaboon Viper (Bitis gabonica), and a monacled cobra (Naja n. kaouthis) and other species."
Tragic this happened, but more so that it was published. Just another reason for ignorance to rule "well thats what happens when you keep monsters like snakes, etc etc".
