POLITICAL reptiles were forgotten in Queensland when a brown snake slithered into a Sunshine Coast polling booth.

Australian Electoral Commission officer Anne Bright said the swinging serpent was seen in a booth at Eumundi, near Noosa.

"I had a report the brown snakes wanted to vote," Ms Bright said. She couldn't confirm who gained the creature's preferences.
