Re: Tired of Animal Planet?

They weren't Komodos. They were Savannahs and Niles. What was said on AP was far from the complete set of facts and the truth; there was no solid indication that the monitors directly killed him. He died of unrelated causes and the lizards simply scavenged his remains.

The only info I know... is that the monitor guy... he was killed by a pet komodo dragon.... As far as what the news report/Jay Leno thing said... Prolly not a full sized komodo by any means or there wouldn't have been anything left... But yea... It wasn't your common sav or nile...

Re: Tired of Animal Planet?

discovery maims animal planet with a 100 pound mace while wearing chain armos riding on a dragon.... sorry i wanted to make it as metal as possible, been playing a lot of god of war 3 since i got it monday night...
in that show with the invasive species, this dude is talkin about how aggressive this burm is, meanwhile he's jumping on it, wrangling it with both hands lol anyone that knows anything would be like "duh?". the show "fatal attractions" wasnt that bad imo... this dude kept big lizards (monitors) he died somehow unexplained then they found them feeding on his remains... there was a chick that kept hots and died from one of those too... wasnt that far fetched considering thats probly what would really happen if you died in a room fulla lizards theyd probly munch on you too... its that invasive show thats retarded.

Re: Tired of Animal Planet?

If I can kind of go a bit off here but not really off the subject - I saw a news item regarding a new exotics law in BC, Canada. I cannot post the link, don't know how, but if you just type "CBC BC exotic pets law too strict" you will see it. This thing is getting scary for all of us with exotic pets as our interest/livelihood.

Re: Tired of Animal Planet?

So is everyone letting AP know how they feel?? I got a nice little automated response from them, but who knows maybe they do occasionally read them?

Re: Tired of Animal Planet?

Ice...what?
So I watched those two shows last night...
1) If wild hogs are such a big problem why isn't anyone doing anything to ban owning hogs???
2) How many different species of monitors did everyone count in the Nile monitor bits? I think I counted about 5....
3) Way to call all reptile owners crazy...
4) What does the monitor guy have to do with anything? He died in his house, no cause of death was established. And yeah, he was pretty weird. Who in their right mind would leave their thermostat on 80 and allow all their lizards to roam free to harm one another and his poor cat? But why not reinforce the fact that this guy was NOT like the rest of us?? Ughhh...Idk...

Re: Tired of Animal Planet?

OK. I am going to contact AP and tell them what I think too, why not? Just because I am from Jamaica does not mean I am not going to get a nice personal, well thought out and empathetic reply from them too, right???

I will let you guys know how they responded.

I have a unique and creative solution to the Animal Planet problem. I turned off my TV about 4 years ago. Haven't turned it on since.
