Very strange to say the least. My JCP was found on 7/7 at midnight. She appeared to have had a seizure. There were no warning signs of any kind that something was wrong. The necropcy revealed "a very loose liver 24 hours after death, which happens post mortem but not that rapidly". So it might be some kind of liver failure due to a virus, hopefully that has not passed on to the rest of my collection. Samples of the liver, brain, kidney, intestine and lung are at Georgia state Univercity as we speak. Hopefully we will find out exacty, or at least a little bit more about, what happend to her. I hope so at least, I need closure. She wasa a beautiful emaculate snake with a great disposition (most of the time.....). It is hard to pick "favorites" but she really was one of my favorite snakes. Louise, you will be missed. -Juggalo

Thank you everyone. I have more bad news however... leaving out of the house this morning I found my lovebird Pedro in the same contorted way as louise. I am re-reading through Dr. Fredrick Frye's Biomedical and Surgical Aspects of Captive Reptile Husbandry to see if mabye there is a clue. I've never heard of any viruses that could be transfered from herp to avian, but I've never had to look into it until now.
Usually the favorite parts of my day is when I first get home and look in all my cages to see my beautiful healthy animals. Now I dread coming home for the fear that there is some silent virus infecting my family.
Waiting for the results from the univercity is killing me because I just do not know what if anything is happening in my apartment. I am hoping very strongly that the deaths are not related, and everyone else is fine. -Adam

Good news (Well, as good as news about herp death can be ). Results from the university revealed liver cancer, and spleen cancer. So there is not any virus in my home, fwew, what a relief that news was! Thanks for the support -Juggalo
