well i have posted on here before about regurgitation and such. well my boa barely moves, hardly no tongue flicker and stares into space all the time. he drank some water and threw it back up. well it sucks but i am taking her back to the store i got her from and getting my money back, and i am hoping to get another one from a different store around here. the symtpoms she ahs sounds a lot like IBD, but the querstion is...is it contagious to my ball python, i think it is a nuerological disorder and i need to know. they are not in the same cage or anywhere near each other but they are in the same room. well thanks in advance.

There is no way to tell if it is IBD without a necropsy.
Best thing to do is separate them now and keep a close I on the ball.
There are a lot of things that the snake could have that appear to be similar to IBD.
Have you taken your Boa to the vet to have it checked?
If not do it fast!

i am taking her back to where i got her form( my sis in law) and she is going to give me my money back, and she will take it to a vet. if it is okay she will probably keep it, but it has all the signs of IBD. she wont even turn her self over when layed on her back. man this sucks

It can be rough when something like this happens.
On a positive note, at least there is someone there at the pet shop willing to work with you.

IBD is 100% deadly. There is no cure for it. Also, it is very contagious and will most likely infect any other reptiles around it or even the whole collection.

And yes, it is VERY contagious to your BP!
GET THEM SEPERATED ASAP!!!!
The means of transmission are still somewhat a mystery so it is best to keep the two in seperate rooms even! Just in case!
Really it is a good idea to use seperate rooms for all quarentine/new animals but not everyone has that luxury...

I would not save anything that was in the tank with the boa. Wash the tank very good with bleach.
If your ball python has IBD it will only live 2 or 3 months. All Python will die much quicker from IBD than boas.
DO NOT FREEZE the boa, just put it in the refrigerator. If you freeze the boa the Vet will not be able to test it for IBD or anything else
I hope you Ball python is ok. Good luck.

That is too bad Froggy... but at least you were able to get it to the vet.
You know what happened and can now move on to more snakes!
