I found my male Amazon Tree Boa Atilla dead just now. I had just gone by a friends hous to pick up some feed. Was down in my basement to get my new Ammie to be sexed, and Atilla was in his perch way at the top of the cage. I left the house an hour later I came back home to put the new Ammie in his cage I walked past Atillas cage ans found him laying on the floor twisted and upside down. It appears he slipped of of his perch and broke his neck. He had just eaten and everything was going well. His perches are molded plastic, actually tinkertoys, so they are quite smooth. The Ironic thing is I had just seen CraigC's post on roughing up plastic surfaces for the arboreals and thought Wow what a great idea I'm gonna do that. He would ALWAYS try and attack me everytime I went in the cage. It was quite comical. I'll miss my little buddy. Oh, Ed, I'm sorry! It's so hard when they go suddenly! Such an odd way to go, too. You have my sincere condolences.

I must say, it's sad when any reptile dies. But even more so when it is ones loved "pet" (used loosely, as I do not like the term). Ed, I am very saddened to hear of your loss. I am even further saddened as it was a member of the Corallus species. Which is my main passion. Keep your chin up, bro. Sadly, I too have been there.
