It's so hard for me to talk about, but my sister killed my baby BP, Madrina. She promised to take care of her for a month at her apartment while I was hunting for an apartment myself... I go over there to take her back, and she was lying dead in her cage. She'd been completely neglected. It broke my heart. I cried for several days. And still, my sister doesn't know how badly she hurt me. She even laughed.
I hope to get another BP soon, but nothing or no one can ever replace my Maddy.

Awwww. Surprising she went down after a month. I suppose its possible if the care was really bad. Hope you get a good replacement soon.

Awww. I'm sorry. When I went out of state for a week in May, I had a friend take care of my Spooky. I fed her before hand and just told her to make sure she had water, hehe.
I don't know what I'd do if one of my babies died. Again, that's too bad. Hopefully, you'll sister'll eventually understand.
Maybe you should kill her cat. *sage nod* Teach her a LESSON.
Or not. Cause that'd be no good.

Sorry for the loss...
But that was awful quick for a BP.
Has there been a necropsy done by any chance?

Yeah, I know it was... but no, it could have been mites, though. I noticed them cleaning out her cage. I bought her at a pet store so I guess I'm partially to blame.

The irony is that she had a vet appointment the following day to make sure everything was fine with her.
