I'm sorry if I offend anyone but I have to ask
If you've got a large ex-reptile, croc burm bci etc, how should you dispose of the body?
Bury in the yard, pet cemetary, cremation?
Do you have to go to local health department? Are there any rules/regs?

If you take it to a vet for cremation, they charge for it...But I don't know of any laws prohibiting you from burying it in your backyard. Not like its a human body...

Well, there are many options these days, such as freeze drying preservation to keep them looking good for a real long time, some will have other mounts made to keep in similar fashion either at home or donate to a museum, while others go for a shed preservation such as the whole animal shkinned and tanned.
It's all up to you, whether to save it in one form or another or to simply bury it.
Although you may want to check on the health regs of your area before dealing with the event of burial.

Actually some cities do have regs on burying pets (i.e., dogs, cats) in backyards, not that they'd have the ability to regulate it unless a neighbor were to complain about someone's huge 120 lb. dog being buried in a tiny rowhouse backyard. CheesenJamButty, aren't you in the U.K. as I recall...I would think there would be some regs there, unless you were out in the country a ways. Reptiles of course are viewed in a different light as far as "pets" are concerned by many folks and how local ordinances would apply is a good question.

Well, fried rattlesnake is great! I say roll that sucker up, stick it on a spit, and have everyone over for a barb-bo-q. Bring some beer, it'll be like a cajun funeral.

everywhere is dif on the laws. i know by me, its against village ordance to bury your pets that have "left". i personally still do, its all up to you. and depending on its size, cremation /burial after might be a better choice depending on your size of area you have to work with
