Sorry to hear about that. I think you mean RIP right? I would keep trying to get them to give you another snake I think you are experienced enough to not kill the snake in only a weeks time. Freeze the snake and as a last resort take it to him at the next show, and explain what happened again thats looks bad if someone brings back one of there animals dead. Mabey someone on here knows the person and can vouche for your experience. Again sorry to hear that and good luck with everything.

ya i meant RIP.. so sad and mad i forgot what i was typing
i would have to freeze her for awhile for the next show also i am moving befor the next show to florida.

Also i have another Q what should i do with her body..
i want to barry it but i dont know if like how i would need i or somethin to prove she died

and if i do get a refund or a replacement
what should/shouldent i use from her cage..i mean i know to throwout the substrate and wash down everything but in her cage there is a fake large rock water bowl,
plastic branch, two wood caves, and a heat lamp and a cover to the cage.

If you cannot make it to their next show I would seal it up in a zip-lock bag and mail it to there store with a letter explaining what happened. Maybe when they have the body in hand they will give you a replacement rather than half off. I bought my boa from them with no problems, but after that story I don't think they will be getting my buisness again.

Man sorry to hear that. and to answer your question no there is nothing wrong with aspen. I don't recomend feeding in it. Alot of breeders use aspen and I have never heard of a single problen with it other than ingestion while feeding. That's just my oppinion. Unfortunately alot of breeders won't guarantee anything from a show or for more than 24 hrs.

That is more than most pet stores, reptile shops or breeders would do a week and a half after you have had the animal. The show was on the 19th.. she died on the 29th. Their actual policy is no refunds also. If there was any concern in the health of the animal a call should have been made to regal in the first day or such after you purchase the reptile also. At this point in time how are they to know that it isn't anything you did wrong at all [ not saying you did though ].

What exactly was going on with the snake up to when it died actually anyway ? Was there any health concerns at all ? What did you pay for the snake ? Give me info and I'll talk with Shawn and see if I can do any better for you.

Sorry to hear about that man. the only reason I don't use aspen with my boas is I've had better luck keeping the humidity up with other substrates, but I also use a lot of CHEs and full spectrum lights (I know they're not a nessesity) and they have a tendency to eat up humidity. -Juggalo

Ok.. I have waited for the information from you in relation to this post BG. None has come forth from you..Sooo.. I went ahead and spoke with Shawn at Regal Reptiles while I was there today. Kinda interesting what I found out also from speaking with him BG.
First off...Shawn [ owner of Regal Reptiles] never said to you he wouldn't refund your purchase price in some way on the boa that you lost. he did tell you AND I QUOTE HIM... " I gave the kid a store credit for the FULL purchase price he spent on the boa. The normal policy is no refunds at all."
Let me tell ya.. Shawn was ready to pull your credit out after seeing this BS you had posted on RTB in relation to this matter. I spoke with him some and your credit still stands . He did
mention some supplies that you have on order with them also. Guess your using that credit for such huh?

Geee.. Those two quotes seem to be in the area of realm known as contradictory.. Don't they ?? How could someone who doesn't have the funds to pay for shipping , have the funds to purchase a snake from Bob Clark ?
What you have done could be considered in the realm of being something of a slanderous nature ya know. Shawn has a good reputation in the reptile world, may not be a Bob Clark or such BUT his reputation speaks for itself also. I have dealt with Shawn for years now and will continue to deal with him for many more to come also. When i saw your post I offered to help out as I thought from what you had set forth in your post did not sound right for some reason or other. the fact that you have as yet to even take me up on my offer to help "clear" things thru with Shawn really made me think twice about what you had stated here about him. That's why I made it a point to speak with Shawn today in regards to this matter. What i found out was NOT what you have set forth here in this posting in the thread either as being completely honest IMHO.
Oh and BTW, that boa was one of a few that he got in [ he usually does NOT deal with morphs in boas though. such is an occasional thing also for him, but I think more will be seen soon from him also ]. Yours is the only one that has had any problem at all. All the others were also sold and not a one has been noted as having a problem. Ever stop to think that it is possible that the boa you purchased may have been a fluke that it died at all ?
just had to set that straight, as I know Shawn is better to deal with than you had set forth here in this post.. Found out I was right also in checking it out further....
