RIP JCP
Well, my first atempt at a snake other than my BP didnt do as well as I had hoped. My baby JCP was dead when i got up this morning. Since I know it will be asked, I'll tell in advance that all conditions were what they should have been. Warm side steady 92. Cool side was 83, and humidity bounced between 60 and 72. He did have the clicking that i had posted about before, and I was told it may be respitory, beacuse of fluids. TY musixman for the advise. Anyway I took him to the vet, and he told me just to watch for snot bubbles. If there wernet any he should be fine. And sadly he wasnt. Dont know what I did wrong, and if I even want to atempt it again. Dont want to kill another innocent beautiful snake

sorry to hear about your loss dave, but things happen that sometimes we can't control. At least you too the initiative to take your baby to the vets and did all that you could have done. Don't let this discourage you from trying again, you have my support all the way (even thou i don't know ya)

Sorry to hear that Dave. I wouldn't give up though. It sounds like you just had a doomed little guy from the start, but as far as I can tell, you did everything you could. Did you by chance use any mite sprays or chemicals in his enclosure? What about substrate? Just curious if we can localize a reason to help prevent such things in the future for ya'.

Oh Dave... I"m sorry to hear that. You paid close attention and did everything you could. He was just sick even beyond what the vet knew to look for it sounds like. I hope you don't let it defeat you. You have learned so much in the past couple of months and I know your heart is in the right place. Mourn... and then live brightly because this world needs a lot of love.
