We have made a deal with the Owner of the store she was at and To keep from messing up the deal I can not discuss this subject any further. but we could have gone the legal route. but it's not needed when you can talk things out like adults.

Sorry to hear about that. I'm glad to hear you too could work things out with the other party. I know that It can be hard to prove it wasn't your fault on why the animal died but if you have patience everything can be worked out even in the worst cases.

I want to clear some things up now. The deal we made was to drop this and move on.
Hazel was in my care for two at most maybe 3 weeks and was in a sweater box rack system the entire time and was never handled outside of routine maintanance of one time to place her in a clean sweater box.
According to Clif & Stef she was diagnosed with IBD and Pneumonia with trauma to her back.
I would also like to make note that Hazel never made any contact with other animal in my store while in my care.
Hazel's illness and Trauma remain a mystery and this matter should have never become a public topic and I do understand that Clif & Stef where very upset at the time when they started these post. Since then we have resolved this issue and remain in good standing with each other.

Again....IBD was as likely a factor as a zebra stampede. I don't care what the "vet" said. What are vets these days doing? reading an article on the john in a weekly Vet publication and suddenly the in thing to do is scream IBD at every snake that wiggles funny?

I read the BOI stuff and from what Stef said it looked like tempers just got out of whack and likely no parties involved here are to blame. My question is this...Why would Serpent's Den borrow a normal ball python for breeding? Are ball pythons in short supply in PA? Man down here even CB adults are a dime a dozen. In fact, I don't think I've actually paid for a ball python in over 20 years. Megan did. She bought 2 hatchlings but I had nothing to do with that transaction. I even took in an anery rescue one time a long time ago and adopted him out for free. I thought it was defective lol.

Adult CH or CB female Ball Pythons are not easy to come by these days anywhere. Sure you can get wild caught Balls readily but that's not something I'm interested in adding into my collection.
