Kandy Was Missing!
Not for long that is.
This morning when I got up she was no where to be found in her cage. I went and got the wife thinking we were going to have to do a full search of the area.
I looked in the cage one more time and right in the corner she poked her head out of the substrate.
It was almost like she was saying, “Shhhhh you’re blowing my cover!”
We had a good laugh and I just had to take pictures.
When I left for work you could not see her again. She pulled her head back under. Too cute!
On Monday she wasn’t hidden that well and I never thought she would be able to disappear that well.

These were taken on Monday; you could find her without even looking.

That is the worst feeling isn't it? Nothing like looking in the tank and seeing NOTHING! Automatic bottomless pit in the stomach....

One of my BCI's (Salix) is the only one that likes to hide in his substrate. The funny part is occaisionally he'll be totally covered up except the tip of his nose and his butt (tail), which will be drapped on the surface...and I'm sure he's thinkin', "hehehe, nobody can see me"! Kandy's too cute!  |

lol, yea looks like it... funny, she is the only one of my critters that does that. Charly my other Redtail only moves it around a bit, never digs. most of the time she is justs under a hide. that is a good question though.
