Went out for supplies and came home with...
I don’t really know much about this critter, UKN age, UKN sex. Best I can tell is it is a Columbian Red Tail about 3ft long with a 4.5” girth and Beautiful! He/she has rosy cheeks and has a rose look down her sides, haven’t seen one like that before.
We went to the store for supplies and saw an adult Red Tail in a cage, the wife and I got to talking about if she would be able to handle Charly when she got bigger.
The next store we went into had this rescue on display. She looked at me and said; if I can just hold that one I can see what it would be like to handle a larger snake. We don’t have to buy it. At the time I couldn’t find any holes in her logic so I agreed and the person opened the cage and handed my wife the critter.
The poor snake was so cold, and they fed it 3 mice… MICE! As soon as it touched my wife’s hands she knew we had to have it, and after I held it, well, I am a sucker for the look a snake gives you 
So we took it home and warmed it up and it seems to be doing really well and nice and warm I might add.
Wednesday we are taking it to the vet to get it sexed and then we will name it. The last time we let someone guess what sex a snake was we ended up with a girl snake named Charly. 
All that is wrong with it that I can see is a little suck shed on the head and a bit on the neck.

Edit for Update: This is a She, now named Kandy. She is 3ft long and weighs in at 614 grams.

I for the life of me cant think of why anyone would give up such a sweet snake. S/he is very sweet, very tame and not even in the least bit nippy.
Strange people do strange things I guess.

people bring snakes back all the time cause they want mean snakes. really you cant believe how many times i have heard 2 docile!
