Yeah, they actually do pretty well given good lighting. If lighting is weak, the pics are too. Only thing is on the phone they look a bit more true to life size wise. The rat looks huge compared to Kobe in these pics, but on my phone its a bit more realistic. Just as an example of how it is a bit distorted. The second pic, the bottom of the feeding tote is covered with newspaper, well its about a foot from left to right, but that pic makes it look like 6 inches or so. The first one is a bit more true to size. I guess when you back away the cell phone camera has a bit harder time focusing or who knows what
